Trump’s Impeachment Process Starting

The impeachment process is slowly starting to roll.

A congressman, Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) has stood up in congress and called for impeachment.

Donald Trump’s White House legal team is now researching impeachment procedures.

The president’s team was looking to hire outside counsel on his behalf.

Republicans are pulling away. Soon even Ryan will not be able to defend the paranoid chaos swirling around the president.

Is the 25th Amendment around the corner?

The president told the Russian foreign minister and the Russian Ambassador to the United States that he fired the FBI director to stop the Russia investigation. That is clearly obstruction of justice. An impeachable offense.

During the meeting in the Oval Office, Trump said: “I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job. I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.” The White House did not dispute this account.

The Watergate scandal escalated at a slow rate. It took months to develop. The Trump-Russia scandals are escalating at a daily rate.

Meanwhile, back at the Trump camp, Roger Stone, a loyal Trump follower, has said that the media will soon attack Donald Trump as suffering from Alzheimer’s. Why does Stone bring up Alzheimer’s? Something serious is afoot. This is a sure indication that the president is against the ropes. Donald Trump is going down.

Special Prosecutor

A special prosecutor has been appointed. The Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein, has appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller to serve as special prosecutor to oversee the FBI investigation into Russian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election and any links between the Russian government and the Trump campaign staff.

The impeachment process is slowly starting to roll.

Robert Mueller is a non-partisan widely respected career prosecutor in Washington. He served as FBI director between 2001 and 2013. FBI directors are normally appointed to ten-year terms, but President Obama added two years to his tenure.

Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-California, referring to Mueller, said in a statement: “There’s no better person who could be asked to perform this function. He is respected, he is talented and he has the knowledge and ability to do the right thing.”

last week Donald Trump admitted on national TV that he fired the former FBI director to stop the Russia investigation.

Then he continued in the same interview saying he did not ask the FBI director to stop the active ongoing investigation into the former national security adviser Mike Flynn’s Russian connections. This was a lie as Trump did ask Comey to drop the investigation.

Donald Trump was unaware that Comey wrote contemporaneous memcons (memo of conversation). Trump might have, or might not have, recorded their conversation. We do not now yet. What we do know is that Comey represents integrity and honesty. Some decisions he made can be debated, but his integrity and honesty are beyond question. Trump on the other hand is consistent in one thing – Donald Trump lies.
